Presented at the KCA Annual Conference, the Research Commercialisation Awards showcase members’ achievements for a wide audience including government, industry and media.
The awards celebrate top-tier work in Australasian tech transfer and are open to all KCA members and their project partners, working in all facets of research commercialisation, industry engagement and entrepreneurship. The judges look for projects that demonstrate originality and creative business insight, as well as those that deliver significant societal impact.

Knowledge Commercialisation Australasia (KCA) – alongside the Go8, KiwiNet and AAMRI – is proud to announce the launch of the Survey of Commercialisation Outcomes from Public Research (SCOPR).
Public sector research in Australia and New Zealand leads the world. But how do we best demonstrate real-world impact? SCOPR is a landmark survey of commercialisation outcomes from public research.
SCOPR is overseen by a steering committee chaired by KCA board member Mr John Grace AO. The survey results will be published on 11 September 2020.

A co-funded scholarship is offered occasionally to KCA members at an early career stage, to cover the costs of international travel and registration to attend a sister association conference, for professional development and global networking. In addition, KCA assists the deserving recipient to coordinate an ‘office hop’ in the same region as the conference.
The recipient gains first-hand experience in a foreign research/technology commercialisation office, learning how our international counterparts tackle similar issues in a different setting.
